Bedford Man Charged In Yorktown With Driving With Suspended License

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Bedford man is facing speeding and other charges after a traffic stop in Yorktown on Thursday, police said.

Louis A. Vitucci, 25, was pulled over on East Main Street around 8:18 p.m.

Police said Vitucci, who was driving a 2015 Volkswagen GTI, was stopped because he was speeding.

A subsequent investigation found that Vitucci’s license and registration had both been suspended, police said.

He was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; operation while registration suspended, a misdemeanor; speeding, a traffic infraction; having an expired inspection sticker, a traffic violation; and failure to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of an address change, a traffic violation.

Police said Vitucci’s license had been suspended after he failed to pay a traffic fine and to answer a summons.

His registration was suspended because of parking violations, police said.

Vitucci was released on $100 bail and is to appear in Yorktown Justice Courtin July.
