Bedford Audubon Secret Garden Tour Tickets on Sale

BEDFORD—The Bedford Audubon Society is holding its Second Annual Garden Tour on Friday, July 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This full day tour is perfect for garden lovers who want to check out two private gardens and learn the secrets behind them.

The first garden on the tour is the Hastings-On-Hudson Arts and Crafts house. The group will be hosted by Larry Weaner, a well-known landscape designer who was responsible for creating this private garden’s landscape. Weaner will give tips and tricks to his fellow gardners.

After a lunch at the Half Moon Restaurant in Dobbs Ferry, the tour will drive back to the Mount Kisco area and visit the Lulu Farm. Bedford Audubon member, Irene Marks, who works at the massive 10- acre garden, will act as guide.

The cost of the tour is a $95 donation to the Bedford Audubon Society.

Because the event is only a day away, Carol A. Cioppa, who is in charge of registrations for the tour, urges people to sign up as soon as possible.  To do so, call 914-764-1549 or e-mail Cioppa at ccioppa@bedfordaudubon.org.

According to Cioppa, there are only four openings left on the tour.
