WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The latest winter storm Westchester County is contending with began as snow in the mid-afternoon Saturday.
A winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service, has been extended till noon Sunday. It had originally been in effect until 8 a.m. Sunday.
Snow arrived around 2:30 p.m. in most parts of the area Saturday, with a total accumulation of between 4 and 6 inches possible.
Sunday's high temperature will be between 36 and 38 degrees with skies becoming partly cloudy by evening.
The outlook for Monday is mostly sunny and cold, with a high temperature in the mid teens.
