Strong Storm System Will Affect Armonk

It's been a quick turnaround as the area has gone from snow, sleet and freezing rain on Monday to rain and rising temperatures Tuesday.

The storm that brought snow to the area Monday afternoon through Monday evening is now bringing rain, which will be heavy at times.

Rain could be heavy at times with amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch likely with afternoon downpours and local flooding possible.

Tuesday's chance of rain is 100 percent, the National Weather Service notes, with a high temperature in the mid 50s. 

Rain should wrap up in the early evening Tuesday.

Tuesday night temperatures will drop back into the low 30s.

The temps will rebound into the low 40s on Wednesday under mostly sunny skies. Wind-chill values will keep it feeling like it's in the low 30s. The overnight low will dip a bit below freezing.

Thursday should also be sunny, with a lower high, in the mid-30s, and an overnight around 20.

On Friday, it should be warmer, nearing 40 and sunny. The weekend will be even warmer, though there'll be increasing chances of rain again.
