The change in the weather will be accompanied by thunderstorms. Severe weather is not expected, but a few of the strongest storms could be locally heavy and gusty
The first round of storms could arrive in the area Friday night and continue through the early morning hours of Saturday.
There will be isolated showers and thunderstorms Saturday with a high temperature climbing to around 88 degrees.
The storm chance continues through around noon Sunday, when more comfortable conditions condition return. Sunday's high will hover around 80 degrees.
"Temperatures and humidity levels will become much more comfortable in the wake of a cold front this weekend," AccuWeather Meteorologist Ryan Adamson said.
Conditions will be much closer to a typical for this time of year. In addition, humidity levels will become noticeably more comfortable.
"Residents will have the opportunity to give the air conditioning a rest and open up the windows," Adamson said.
Monday will be sunny and delightful, with a high in the upper 70s before temps climb back slightly above 80 both Tuesday and Wednesday.
"Temperatures will trend back upward Tuesday into Wednesday, but it will not be quite as warm as the end of this week," Adamson said.
