With it comes a Coastal Flood Watch, issued by the National Weather Service, for areas along the Western Long Island Sound during the high tide cycle from 11 p.m. Sunday to 2 a.m. Monday.
There is a slight chance of showers before 10 p.m. Sunday, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m., before showers become likely with a possible a storm after 2 a.m.
Showers remain likely through 1 p.m. Monday on an otherwise cloudy and cooler day in which the high temperature will be in the low 70s.
The shower chance continues until the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday.
Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high in the mid-70s.
