Damaging winds and heavy rain are the primary threats, the National Weather Service said. Isolated flash flooding cannot be ruled out as well.

The storm chance returns Saturday, mainly after noon, on what will be a partly sunny day with a high in the low-80s. The storm chance continues through late Saturday night.

Sunday will be partly sunny and warmer, with a high in the upper-80s and the possibility of storms arriving mainly after 3 p.m.

Monday and Tuesday (Independence Day) will be picture perfect days with high temps each day in the mid-80s and plenty of sunshine.
