A storm system arriving in the area in the early morning hours on Tuesday, combined with strong winds and high tide coupled, have resulted in a Coastal Flood Advisory being issued by the National Weather Service for Southern Westchester from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday.
Up to one foot of inundation over the most vulnerable shore roads and properties due to the height of the storm are possible, the National Weather Service said, adding most road should remain passable with only isolated closures.
Most of the rain expected Tuesday should arrive before noon, but close to a half-inch of rain is expected.
There will be patchy fog in the early afternoon with more rain or drizzle possible. The high temperature will be around 50.
Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high in the mid 50 and a chance of sprinkles after noon.
