But it will create dangerous seas and surf along the coast with rip currents.
There remains a slight chance Gert could strengthen through Wednesday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Gert will not make landfall anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
The roughest surf conditions will extend from the Carolinas to New Jersey, New York and around the islands of Bermuda, according to AccuWeather.com.
After a sunny and warm day Wednesday with a high in the mid-80s, Thursday will also be sunny during the day with a high in the low-80s.
There is a chance of showers after 9 p.m. Thursday with thunderstorms possible after 9 a.m. Friday on an otherwise cloudy day with a high in the low-80s.
The storm chance continues through midnight Saturday.
During the day Saturday, it will be mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms possible and a high around 85.
It will clear out Sunday with mostly sunny skies and a high in the low-80s.
