Hundreds Without Power In Westchester As New Round Of Storms Sweeps Through

Several hundred Westchester residents have lost power late Friday afternoon as thunderstorms rolled through the area.

As of 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Con Edison was reporting 16 outages, impacting 301 customers. An additional 139 NYSEG customers were also reporting outages. All power is expected to be restored before 6 p.m. on Friday.

Wind gusts of up to 60 mph accompanied the first round of storms.

Among the hardest hit areas was Yorktown (137 outages) Briarcliff Manor (102), Sleepy Hollow (66), Cortlandt (55), Croton-on-Hudson (47) and Mount Pleasant (25). Additional outages were reported in Larchmont, New Rochelle, Scarsdale, Somers and Tarrytown.

Additional outages were reported in Dutchess, Orange, and Orange counties.
