Beware Of Black Ice, Westchester

With overnight temperatures expected to hover around the freezing mark, a black ice warning has been issued to parts of the area by the National Weather Service.

Falling temps could allow for the development of patchy black ice, the National Weather Service said.

Elevated roadways and untreated surfaces will be the most vulnerable.

Motorists should exercise caution if traveling Tuesday evening, especially after 8 p.m.

Areas of drizzle and fog will continue throughout Tuesday night. Wednesday will start with patchy fog before 8 a.m.

There is a chance of sprinkles on Wednesday after 10 a.m. with rain likely during the evening through around 3 a.m. Thursday.

Wednesday's high temperature will be between 45 and 47 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. The overnight low will be around 40.
