Arctic Blast Will See Temps Drop To 20s This Week In Westchester

After "falling back" for Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, tristate residents will see their thermometers take a big dip this week as temperatures will not only be more late-fall like, but below average, dropping into the 20s by week's end.

The first frost/freeze of the season is expected overnight Friday into Saturday.

The blast of Arctic air will bring the lowest temperatures of the season so far to the area.

Snow showers may also occur in parts of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, AccuWeather.com said.

Daytime highs will be in the 50s Tuesday through Thursday with overnight lows in the mid-30s.

Then comes the big chill, with Friday's high temperature only reaching the upper 30s with the overnight low in the low 20s and the first frost/freeze of the season expected.

Saturday's high temp will struggle to hit 40 degrees.

Rain will move through the area in the late afternoon Tuesday before tapering off in the evening. Skies will then be partly cloudy through the end of the weekend.
