There will be overnight lane closures on the Saw Mill River Parkway in central Westchester for several months as crews complete contracting work in the area of Pleasantville and Mount Pleasant.

An alert has been issued to motorists advising that the northbound and southbound Saw Mill River Parkway will undergo overnight closures from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Sundays through Fridays while crews complete construction activities between Exit 27 (Marble Avenue) and Exit 33 (Readers Digest Road / Roaring Brook Road.)

These closures began Sunday, Oct. 8, and end Friday, Dec. 1.

Closures are not expected to occur on Saturday evenings or during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The New York State Department of Transportation noted that motorists can expect delays and should follow posted detour signage and any possible flaggers.
