Police Respond In Force To White Plains HS After Lockdown Alert Sent This story has been updated. Police responded in force to White Plains High School after receiving an unscheduled lockdown notification from the school. The White Plains Department of Public Safety said it responded in force around 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, as is always the procedure, after receiving the notification. Police officers are clearing the building at this time, an alert from the White Plains Mayor's office said.
