Man Accused Of Engaging In Sex Act With Minor At Area Hotel
A 46-year-old man has been accused of engaging in a sex act with a child at an area hotel and authorities say they are now looking for other possible victims. New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Northern Fairfield County resident Eric J. Fenyes, of Sherman, on Tuesday, Feb. 18 and charged him with second-degree criminal sex act, a Class D felony. An investigation determined Fenyes engaged in sexual conduct with a victim under 15 years of age at a hotel in the Town of Poughkeepsie in November of 2019, according to state police. A Hudson Valley man is wanted by New York State Police after allegedly spending thousands of dollars using fraudulent checks. An alert was issued by New York State Police investigators in Wappinger for Torrance Smith, 46, who is wanted by State Police and the Town of Poughkeepsie Court following a fraud complaint nearly a decade ago in November 2013. A 60-year-old man is behind bars after state police say he was found to be in possession of child pornography. An investigation by the Rhinebeck Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the State Police Troop K Computer Crimes Unit, and the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office determined Poughkeepsie resident Kevin M. Werner possessed multiple images containing what he knew or believed to be child pornography.
