Gas Line Work To Cause Delays On Busy Westchester Road For Months Traffic on a stretch of a busy Westchester County roadway will be impacted for months as crews perform gas line work, officials announced.  A gas line relocation project on the stretch of Dobbs Ferry Road (Route 100B) between Downing Drive West and Route 119 (Tarrytown Road) in Greenburgh will commence on Tuesday, Aug. 20, according to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.  The project is part of Con Edison's maintenance schedule and will also remove conflicts with an upcoming sidewalk project along Route 100B expected to begin in Spring 2025, Feiner said.  The gas line wo…

Westchester Man Sentenced For Armed Robbery, Stabbing, DA Announces A Westchester man will spend more than a decade in prison after being sentenced for an armed robbery and stabbing, according to the District Attorney. Westchester County District Attorney Mimi Rocah announced that White Plains resident Price Rogers, age 51, has been sentenced to 12 years in state prison, followed by five years of post-release supervision after being convicted at trial for his role in the 2020 stabbing. Specifically, Rogers was found guilty of: First-degree robbery; Two counts of second-degree assault; Grand larceny; Criminal possession of a weapon.

The incident took place around 9:50 p.m., Thursday, April 15, when the man was walking across Tarrytown Road in the vicinity of 407 Tarrytown Road, in Greenburgh, said Greenburgh Police Capt. Mike D’Alessio.  According to D'Alessio, police were called to the scene and found the victim lying injured in the roadway. Traffic Congestion Alert Issued For Route 119 Area Heads Up!  Traffic congestion is projected to impact access to White Plains from Tarrytown Road, also known as Route 119 in Greenburgh.
