There was gridlock on a stretch of the Merritt Parkway after a crash that took out the left lane for more than a half hour late Friday afternoon. Expect Delays: New Round Of Tree Removal Scheduled For Merritt Parkway A tree removal operation will lead to lane closures and delays on the Merritt Parkway during the weekend. The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that there will be tree removal on Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) over the weekend in Greenwich, leading to temporary morning lane closures.
