$17.5M Alumnus Gift Paves Way For 'Transformation' Of Iona Building School A near $20 million dollar gift from an alumnus will allow Iona College to move forward with a “planned transformation of its business school building.” Due to a $17.5 million gift - the largest in Iona history - from Robert V. LaPenta '67, the college has received the necessary approvals from the City of New Rochelle and is set to break ground on the transformed building next month. The redesigned building is scheduled to open for the spring semester in the 2019-20 academic year.
