The intersection of Harrison Avenue (Route 127) and Union Avenue next to the Harrison Avenue Elementary School is now open after it was briefly closed following a crash on Friday afternoon, June 21, Harrison Police announced. A residential road in the Hudson Valley was temporarily closed after a mail truck caught on fire. The incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, June 7 just before 4 p.m., when a US Postal Service delivery truck went up in flames on Fairmont Road in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. A two-car crash in the Hudson Valley caused a temporary closure on a busy road to allow crews to clean a fluid spill. The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday, Feb. 23 just before 8 p.m., when two cars collided on Croton Falls Road in Carmel, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.
