Latimer said that his office has submitted legislation that would allow taxpayers who have economic hardships due to the pandemic to apply for a delay in paying county property taxes. Chief Judge Janet DiFiore unanimously affirmed a decision by the New York Court of Appeals, which found that certain equipment such as cell towers are taxable in Mount Vernon.
