Woman Hospitalized After Car Crashes Off Merritt Parkway A woman was hospitalized after her car crashed off the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield County overnight. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 in Norwalk. When firefighters arrived with hospital paramedics and state police, the car, a Hyundai sedan, was found on its side, in a foot of water, between the parkway exit 40A ramp and the 1 Glover Avenue Condos, according to the Norwalk Fire Department. Tractor-Trailer Car Carrier, Vehicles On Board Becoming Fully Engulfed In Flames On I-95 Fire officials are investigating after a tractor-trailer car carrier became fully engulfed in flames on northbound Interstate 95 in Norwalk. Members of the Norwalk Fire Department responded Saturday, May 4 at around 2:30 p.m. to find fires on the truck with the cab as well as three vehicles on the carrier. A second fire engine and tankers from Darien and Norton Heights Fire Department were called to the scene.
