Westchester Man Causes Crash While Driving Under Influence In Fairfield County, Police Say Fairfield County police arrested a man following a three-vehicle crash which he allegedly caused. Paul Fagan, 50, of Port Chester, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 27, by Greenwich Police following the three-vehicle crash on North Street, said the Greenwich Police. According to officers, when police arrived on the scene and began speaking with Fagan they allegedly could smell alcohol on his breath. Drunk Westchester Driver Who Crashed Into Pole Found After K-9 Search In Greenwich, Police Say A man who left the scene of an accident in Greenwich was located by a police K-9 who tracked his scent. Aaron Guerrero, 38, of Port Chester,  was arrested around 8 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 17, after Greenwich Police responded to a report of a vehicle striking a utility police, said the Greenwich Police. When officers arrived on the scene of the crash, they found the vehicle on the west side of North Street against the damaged pole, but no driver was in sight. Closure Of Bridge Over Merritt Parkway Will Last Four Months A busy bridge that stretches over the Merritt Parkway in the area will be closed for several months as contractors continue efforts to rehabilitate the aging structure. Beginning on Friday, June 21, crews will kick off a project to replace the structural steel members and concrete deck of Lake Avenue Bridge over the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced. Two Major Greenwich Roadways Closed Police are warning motorists to avoid two main roadways in Greenwich that are closed in sections due to downed trees and wires. As of 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, North Street is closed by Hurlingham Drive due to a fallen tree and wires, according to dispatch reports. In addition, high winds have brought down another tree and wires, closing King Street between Anderson Hill Road and Stonehedge Drive. Police did not know how long repairs will take. Greenwich Woman Arrested After Grabbing Another By Throat A Greenwich woman is behind bars after she pushed and grabbed another person by the throat. Paola Steinberg, 37, of Greenwich, was arrested around 6:30 p.m. Monday after she grabbed another person by the neck and pushed them on North Street, Greenwich police said. She was charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $1,000, which she could not make.

Range Rover, Mercedes Stolen From Driveway At Greenwich Residence Greenwich police are reminding residents once again to lock their vehicles and remove valuables after two vehicles were stolen from the same residence in one night. On Friday, a North Street resident reported a 2017 silver Range Rover and a 2017 black Mercedes-Benz were taken from the home, said Lt. John Slusarz. Both vehicles were unlocked and had the keys inside, he added. "Car thefts are continuing in the area and residents should make sure to remove the keys," he added.
