A barred investment broker has been indicted on charges he stole $520,000 from six investors who believed they were investing in stocks for several high-profile companies. A high school teacher on Long Island is facing charges for allegedly submitting a forged COVID-19 vaccination card in an effort to circumvent her district’s required testing rules, the District Attorney announced. Sewanhaka High School teacher Tricia Manno, age 47, of Lindenhurst, has been indicted on multiple charges for the alleged false card, which she used in an effort to prove her vaccination status to district officials and later attempted to cover up. Man Indicted For Christmas Day Shooting Of Mother, Father In NY Mansion
A man who allegedly shot his mother and father in their Long Island mansion on Christmas Day in a dispute over his child has been arraigned on attempted murder charges. Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly announced Dino Tomassetti, age 30, of Brooklyn, was arraigned Monday, Feb. 7, on two counts of attempted murder and two counts of assault, among other charges. Tomassetti pleaded not guilty and was remanded to jail. He is due back in court on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Ousted NY Attorney General Schneiderman Will Get State Pension, Reports Say
Despite his unceremonious ousting earlier this year amid abuse claims from multiple women, former New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman will receive his state pension in full. Schneiderman, who had been an outspoken advocate of the #MeToo movement, was accused by four women of physical abuse in a New Yorker article that came out in May, leading to his resignation and investigation into the alleged incidents.
