Former Westchester Special Needs Student Wins $28M Rape Lawsuit
A former special needs student in Westchester has been awarded $28 million in a rape lawsuit. A jury awarded the $28 million to a former student that was raped nearly seven years ago after being led off the Mount Vernon High School campus when she was supposed to be in class and on the special education bus. According to her attorneys, the verdict is believed to be the largest physical and sexual assault jury verdict in New York State history.
