Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train An unidentified man was struck and killed by a Metro-North New Haven Line train near the downtown Stamford station early Friday evening. The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. The train had departed from Grand Central Station just before 6 p.m. Delays of a half-hour or more following the incident last for several hours. Circuit Issue Causes Delays On Metro-North Update: Metro-North New Haven Line serve is now operating or close to schedule after earlier delays due to circuit issues. Original report: Metro-North customers are experiencing delays of 35 minutes or more on the New Haven Line late Monday afternoon. A new round of thunderstorms with heavy downpours resulted in flooding throughout Fairfield County with a stretch of I-95 closed for a portion of the Thursday evening commute. The closure occurred southbound between Exit 15 and Exit 16 in Norwalk. The northbound side in that area had one lane open.
