Rental Truck Driver Damages Stone Wall At Westchester Church, Takes Off In Mercedes
A strange scene unfolded in Westchester when the driver of a rental truck caused damage to a stone wall before taking off in a Mercedes, police said. The incident occurred at the Hitchcock School and Church in Scarsdale on Friday afternoon. After speaking with an employee at the Hitchcock School, it was determined that a Budget truck with an affixed trailer had struck and “heavily damaged” the stone wall while attempting to exit the lot. Woman Uses Stolen ID To Get $52K SUV From Northern Westchester Auto Dealer, DA Says
A 30-year-old woman has become the latest person arrested after a string of thefts from auto dealers in Westchester. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced the arrest on Tuesday in the theft of a Toyota SUV from a Mount Kisco car dealership using a stolen identity. Shamakia Walker turned herself into Mount Kisco Police Sunday. She was arraigned in Village of Mount Kisco Justice Court on two charges: grand larceny in the second degree, a Class C felony, and identity theft in the first degree, a Class D felony. Range Rover, Mercedes Stolen From Driveway At Greenwich Residence
Greenwich police are reminding residents once again to lock their vehicles and remove valuables after two vehicles were stolen from the same residence in one night. On Friday, a North Street resident reported a 2017 silver Range Rover and a 2017 black Mercedes-Benz were taken from the home, said Lt. John Slusarz. Both vehicles were unlocked and had the keys inside, he added. "Car thefts are continuing in the area and residents should make sure to remove the keys," he added.
