Building Collapses At Yacht Yard In Westchester Authorities rushed to a yacht yard in Westchester after a building collapsed into the water, authorities said. The incident happened in Mamaroneck on Saturday, Aug. 17 around 3 p.m., when a shed building at Nichols Yacht Yard at 500 Rushmore Ave. collapsed, according to the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department.  According to police, the wood supporting the structure was rotted out.  Soon after the collapse, police, firefighters, building department officials, and Con Edison responded to the scene and cut electricity.  No injuries were reported.
