Lord & Taylor Closing Westchester Store Department Store chain Lord & Taylor has announced the closure of 24 more of its stores - many of them located in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. Lord & Taylor filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in August. The retail giant, which was established in 1826, joins other chains that couldn’t survive the tragic COVID-19 economy. Other bigs that are closing shops across the country include J.C. Penny, Pier One, and Brooks Brothers. Six-Vehicle Crash On Merritt Parkway Causes Injuries All lanes of the Merritt Parkway reopened for Monday's morning commute following a six-vehicle crash that closed the parkway for more than two hours. The crash, which took place around 2:10 p.m. Sunday near the Main Street exit in Trumbull, closed the northbound lanes of the highway for more than two hours as police from surrounding towns, including Bridgeport, Trumbull, and Fairfield, helped direct traffic, said Connecticut State Police.
