Joseph A. Sinagra of the Saugerties PD in Ulster County was sworn in during the annual conference in Albany. He succeeds Chief Kevin Sylvester of the Ossining PD. Police Officers Stop Woman From Jumping Off Roof Of Building In Hudson Valley An allegedly suicidal woman was stopped from jumping from the rooftop of a building by two police officers in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 4:28 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, in Ulster County. The officers from the Saugerties Police responded to a 911 call of a distraught woman on the roof of the old Flannigan Cleaners Building on Main Street in the Village of Saugerties.
