Man Charged With Approaching Children Walking To School In Westchester
A 31-year-old man faces charges after approaching children walking to an elementary school in Westchester, police said. The arrest stemmed from a complaint made to Port Chester Police by the John F. Kennedy Elementary School administration detailing that an unknown man had been approaching schoolchildren on Olivia Street. The department then investigated this complaint and began surveilling the area. They soon saw a man approach a child, engage in small talk with her, and offer to walk with her, according to police. 19: New Positive Case Confirmed At School In Westchester
A positive COVID-19 case has been confirmed at a school in the Hudson Valley. The Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District reported early Monday evening, Oct. 19 that an individual with COVID-19 was at John F. Kennedy Elementary School while infectious. The exposed individuals must quarantine for 14 days from the last exposure date and should be tested for COVID-19 five days after the last exposure.
