Man Assaults Victim With Hammer In Domestic Dispute, Police Say
A 34-year-old man was arrested after assaulting another person with a hammer during a domestic dispute, according to the New York State Police. James M. Macisaac of Pine Plains was arrested Sunday for the attack with took place on Friday, July 13, in Pine Plains, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Troopers were alerted to the attack when nurses at Northern Dutchess Hospital reported a possible victim of domestic violence, Hicks said. Two men and two women have been arrested following an investigation into two drug overdoses the weekend of April 21, one of which resulted in a fatality in Dutchess County. The New York State Police Troop K Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Village of Red Hook Police Department executed a pre-dawn search warrant at a residence located off South Broadway on Friday, April 27. Two Students Charged In Threats To Hudson Valley Schools
Two students were arrested in unrelated incidents for threatening area schools in the Pine Plains and BOCES school districts, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. The first incident took place around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when deputies responded to the BOCES Tech Center in the Town of Hyde Park for a report of someone making threats of “shooting up the school” via Snapchat, said Capt.
