Man Sentenced For Fatally Stabbing Shopper At Supermarket In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for stabbing a random man who was shopping to death at a ShopRite supermarket in 2016.
Orange County resident Andrew Goodenough, age 41, of New Windsor, was sentenced on Monday, March 28 after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in February.
At the time that he pleaded guilty, Goodenough admitted that on Saturday, June 11, 2016, he stabbed Michael Kohus, age 35, of Highland Falls in the neck while he was shopping at a supermarket in the Town of New Windsor, the DA's Office said.

Man, 23, Jumps To His Death From Bear Mountain Bridge, State Police Say
A Hudson Valley man who jumped to his death from the Bear Moutain Bridge has been identified by New York State Police.
Orange County resident, Justin J. Griffith, age 23, of Highland Falls, died around 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 22 after jumping from the bridge near Cortlandt, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
His vehicle was found near the bridge, Hicks said.
A search on Friday failed to find his body. His body was recovered by the New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team on Saturday, Oct. 23.
No signs of foul play have been discovered.

Eddie Lee Camper, Sr., died at his home in Hattiesburg, MS, on Sept. 17 after a battle with cancer. He was 73 years old.
Eddie, born May 12, 1947 in Hattiesburg, was a long-time resident of Peekskill before making his way back to Mississippi. His primary school education was at Earl Travillion Attendance Center in Hattiesburg, Forrest County, MS. With a family move from Mississippi to New York, Eddie attended Peekskill High School, graduating in 1967.
He was employed at Camp Smith in Cortlandt Manor, from which he retired and before returning to Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Ex-Treasurer Embezzled $36.7K From Area Town's PBA, Police Say
The former treasurer at an area town's police benevolent association is facing a felony charge after embezzling nearly $37,000 from an area town's police benevolent association, state police announced Friday.
An investigation found Lori A. Bailey, 47, embezzled $36,720 from the Village of Fishkill PBA while serving as treasurer and used the funds for her personal benefit, according to police.
Bailey, of Highland Falls, was arrested by troopers from the Wappingers barracks and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a Class D felony.
