Nicole Rincon, 25, was arrested around 11:30 p.m Monday, Oct. 26, at Maple Avenue at East Putnam Avenue, when a police officer saw her take the sign from the area, bending in half and putting it into her vehicle, said Greenwich Police Capt. The thefts and burglaries took place across the town, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. The vehicles stolen include a Ford Expedition from the Riverside section of town, Slusarz said. Officers from the Greenwich Police Department stopped Stamford resident Robert Homer at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, when his BMW 650xi convertible was clocked going more than 60 mph in a 30 mph zone at the intersection of East Putnam Avenue and Riverside Avenue in Greenwich. Traffic control lights are back in operation on East Putnam Avenue (Route 1) and surrounding streets in central Greenwich after a power outage that began early in the afternoon Wednesday. The incident took place around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday at the station on East Putnam Avenue when Raza Jafri, 53, of Stamford, had words with a customer and allegedly grabbed the customer by the shirt, police said.
