Details Emerge After Man Armed With Two Large Knives Is Shot By Officer Near NY/CT Border Connecticut State Police are investigating the officer-involved shooting that took place between a Danbury police officer and a man armed with two large knives off a busy stretch of I-84 near the New York/Connecticut border. The incident began around 8:44 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, when Danbury Police were responding to a call of an assault at 38 Old Ridgebury Road, said Danbury Police Lt. Mark Williams.
