Six Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle I-84 Crash Six people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on a stretch of I-84. The crash took place around 9 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 28, on I-84 in Danbury, said James Gagliardo, public information officer for the Danbury Fire Department.  The crash, which required the extrication of three people from one vehicle, took place between Exits 4 and 5, Gagliardo said. Cos Cob Man, 60, Killed When Motorcycle Crashes Into Sign In Ridgefield A 60-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Northern Fairfield County. The crash happened just after 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 1 on a stretch of Route 35 in Ridgefield, police said. The victim, identified as John Lienhardt, 60, of Cos Cob, was traveling eastbound when his motorcycle went off the roadway, striking a road sign, Ridgefield Police said. He was then treated at the scene and transported to the Danbury Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.  The investigation is ongoing.

Police say the car was heading eastbound on the interstate in East Fishkill on Monday, Dec. 30 when it went off the roadway into the center median and caught fire. They say the 41-year-old driver was apparently going at an unsafe speed in icy conditions. The Southeast woman was taken to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries.
