Retired Sergeant, Canine Handler Who Served In Westchester Dies At 50: 'Exemplary Member' A police department in Westchester is mourning the loss of a retired sergeant from the Hudson Valley who served for more than two decades and was known for his love of his beloved canine partner.  Putnam County resident Christopher Provenzano of Mahopac, who served with the Harrison Police Department for over 20 years, died on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the age of 50, according to his obituary.  Born in 1973, Provenzano served in many capacities during his time with Harrison Police, including his role as a canine handler.
