Building To Be Demolished Following Devastating Hudson Valley Fire
A Hudson Valley apartment building that was destroyed by a quick-moving fire will be demolished this week. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3, at The Highlands (the former Avalon Gardens) in Nanuet. According to Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, the fire destroyed eight units, leaving all homeless. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but Rockland County Fire Coordinator Chris Kear said construction workers installing lighting may have hit a gas line, igniting the fire. Barbershop Blaze: E-Bike Cited As Cause Of Fire That Destroyed Hudson Valley Business
An E-bike started a fire that destroyed a Hudson Valley barbershop. The fire took place in Rockland County at the Veloz Barbershop on Thursday, June 1, in Spring Valley, said the Ramapo Police. The fire started from an E-bike that was located at the front of the barbershop by the entrance, said Chris Kear, Rockland County Fire Coordinator. The blaze broke out in Rockland County around 4 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, at 118 South Lake St., Spring Valley. It's was a moment the Pleasantville High School boys lacrosse program has been building for, and late Saturday morning it came. The Panthers defeated Section 5's Penn Yan 16-2 in the Class D state championship game at St. John Fisher College in Rochester for its first-ever title in the sport.
