Greenwich Homeowner Catches Burglar, Holds Him Down Until Police Arrived
A homeowner interrupted a burglary in progress and he and another man were able to hold down the suspect until police arrived in Fairfield County.
The incident took place in Greenwich around 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 25 on Holly Hill Lane.
According to Greenwich Police Lt. Patrick Smyth, police responded after receiving a call of two men holding down a third man and yelling for someone to call 911.
When police arrived, they found that the man being held down, Danny Collazo, age 48, of the Bronx, New York, had entered the home and removed items worth more than $2,300, Smyth said.

A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly attacking employees at an area fruit and smoothie shop after his son had an allergic reaction to peanuts and was hospitalized.
James Iannazzo, age 48, of Fairfield, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 22 after Fairfield Police received numerous calls from employees at Robeks, located at 2061 Black Rock Turnpike, reporting a customer throwing things, yelling at employees, and refusing to leave.

14-Year-Old Turns Himself In After Shooting At Danbury Mall
A 14-year-old Fairfield County boy has turned himself in to police as being the shooter at an area mall that left a teenage girl shot in the chest.
The shooting took place around 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11, near the entrance to Macy's at Danbury Fair Mall during a confrontation between two groups of teens, authorities said.
One person, described as a tall, thin male with dreadlocks who may be in his early teens, took out a gun and fired a single shot, which struck the teenager, Danbury Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour said.

A Westchester woman was charged after getting into a dispute at a Fairfield County restaurant.
Sarah Ann Westerman, 30, of Port Chester, was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 12, for an incident that took place in November at a Greenwich Avenue restaurant, said the Greenwich Police.
According to police, a person came to the Greenwich Police Department to report an incident that occurred at the restaurant, which the police would not name.

A Fairfield County man was arrested on a warrant for allegedly threatening to attack a person in a vehicle with him with a machete and stealing some of their possessions.
Antonio Llanos-Lopez, 48, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 20, for the incident which took place on Friday, Oct. 16, in Greenwich, said the Greenwich Police.

Two Greenwich High School cafeteria workers were arrested after allegedly getting into a physical fight.
Gina Gazard, 51, and Tammy Caballero, 34, both of Stamford, were arrested around 8:10 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, after Greenwich police responded to the school at 10 Hillside Road for a report of the fight, said Greenwich Police Lt. Johnn Slusarz.

David Sharpe, 29, of Fairfield, who coached the team at Staples High School in Westport, was arrested Saturday on a court warrant charging him with public indecency and breach of peace, said Fairfield Police Lt. Robert Kalamaras.

A man is facing criminal charges after allegedly exposing himself on a Connecticut Transit bus and urinating in the middle of the day in Fairfield County.
The Greenwich Police Department received a report of the man shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, near Railroad Avenue, of the man, who exposed himself and urinated, investigators said.
