Armonk Business Victimized By ID Theft/Direct Deposit Scheme
A business in the Hudson Valley has become the latest to be targeted by high-tech fraudsters who targeted the company’s direct deposit database to re-route cash being sent to an employee, police said. In Northern Westchester, the North Castle Police Department received a report shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, when an employee of a Bedford Road business in Armonk reported that he and his employer had become the victim of fraud. 16-Year-Old Girl Struck By Vehicle In Armonk
A 16-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle at a busy intersection in Northern Westchester on Sunday. Just before 4:30 p.m., the North Castle Police Department responded to 375 Main St. in Armonk on E-911 calls reporting a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Police in North Castle were called in to help in attempting to track down an erratic driver on Route 128 in Armonk who gave a scare to fellow motorists before speeding off. Officers from the North Castle Police Department received a report shortly after 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, from a caller at Business Park Drive who stated that a driver in a Jeep on Route 128 was speeding, passing other vehicles and going through stop signs in the area.
