A pilot and passenger were injured and hospitalized when a small plane flying out of Westchester County Airport lost power and crashed onto a baseball field in Connecticut. Connecticut State Police troopers responded to the Wilcox Technical High School in Meriden shortly before 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, after the four-seater, single-engine plane went down on state property. Four-Seat Airplane Forced To Make Emergency Landing At Danbury Airport
A four-seat airplane was forced to make an emergency landing late Sunday morning at the Danbury Airport and both the pilot and passenger managed to avoid suffering injuries. At approximately 11:34 a.m., Danbury Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the airport on a report of an aircraft with an in-flight emergency. A Lear jet that had problems with the nose landing gear diverted safely from New Jersey to Stewart Airport in Orange County late Thursday morning, authorities said. The troubled jet landed just before noon at the public/military airport nearly 57 miles north of Teterboro, the Port Authority's Joseph Pentangelo told Daily Voice.
