Fordham Keeps County Executive Streak Alive
The best way to become Westchester County Executive...is to go to Fordham University? County Executive George Latimer is the fifth straight Westchester County Executive to have graduated from Fordham, a Jesuit university in The Bronx. Latimer defeated his fellow Fordham alum, former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino in November. Every Westchester County Executive since 1974 has been a Fordham graduate, starting with Alfred Del Bello and continuing with Andrew O'Rourke and Andrew Spano. Fordham started in Westchester, though the land later became part of Bronx County.
