Van With Gas Tanks Inside Goes Up In Flames In Front Of Northern Westchester Firehouse A van filled with gas tanks caught on fire in front of a Northern Westchester firehouse under renovations.  The blaze began on Wednesday, Oct. 23 just before 6 p.m., when a van containing acetylene gas tanks went up in flames in front of the Somers Fire House at 270 Route 202, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.  Although the blaze happened in front of a firehouse, the department's fire trucks were actually disbursed to other Somers firehouses because of ongoing renovations at that location.  Because of this, crews raced to the blaze from other Somers fir…
