Knicks Sensation Lin Sublets in White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – “Linsanity” has reached White Plains.

According to several published reports, Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin is subletting an apartment in the Trump Tower in White Plains that was once occupied by former Knick and current Golden State Warrior David Lee.

Lin had been sleeping on his brother’s couch in the Lower East Side of Manhattan before finding a place of his own.

The play of the undrafted point guard from Harvard has swept the nation. Sales of jerseys, T-shirts and other apparel with Lin’s name are through the roof. The word “Linsanity” has become commonplace on ESPN and other networks.

Lin is the first American player of Chinese or Taiwanese descent to play in the NBA. He has been instrumental in the Knicks’ six-game winning streak. In five games as a starter, he has averaged 27.2 points, the highest since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976, and 8.8 assists per game and has shot 50 percent from the field.

Lin’s popularity has exploded to the point that he now has 270,000 followers on Twitter, many of whom followed him since his coming out party against the Nets on Feb. 4.
