Harlem Wizards to Battle Valhalla Schools Faculty

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – The famous Harlem Wizards will be coming to Valhalla this Sunday to play in a charity basketball game against administrators and teachers from the Valhalla Union Free School District at Westchester Community College.

The event is sponsored by the Valhalla Sports Booster Club.  All proceeds raised from ticket sales will go directly to the Valhalla schools physical education programs.

In past years, fundraising events such as this one held by the booster club have allowed the Valhalla High School baseball and softball teams to travel to tournaments in Orlando and for select student-athletes to receive college scholarships.

Only 1,000 tickets are available for the event and they are priced at $10 for students and $15 for adults.  The game will begin at 1 p.m.  Doors open at noon.

The Harlem Wizards, founded in 1962, are an athletic, trick-oriented basketball team focused on comedy and crowd involvement. They specialize in fundraising events.
