Crenshaw Joins Seniors at Westchester Country Club

RYE, N.Y. – Ben Crenshaw, Tom Lehman, Jeff Sluman and Hal Sutton will join Tom Watson and a growing group of golf legends when Westchester Country Club hosts Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship, August 17-21.

Crenshaw, a two-time Masters champion and World Golf Hall of Fame member, joined the Champions Tour in 2002 after a successful PGA Tour career, while Lehman has competed at Westchester Country Club 14 times.

“It’s always been one of my very favorite courses,” said Lehman. “I am absolutely thrilled to be going back.”

Sluman made history by earning the first of his six PGA TOUR titles at the 1988 PGA Championship at Oak Tree Golf Club in Edmond, OK. He played Westchester Country 19 times while on the PGA TOUR.

“It’s an old-style golf course and just a neat course; I really like everything about the place,” Sluman said. “I loved it. It’s not an overly long course but it’s challenging because of the green complexes. But it’s fantastic just being in New York with the New York fans. It will be a wonderful place for the event.”

Sutton is a 14-time PGA TOUR winner over a career that stretched from 1982-2007, earning a major title at the1983 PGA Championship. Sutton joined the Champions Tour in late 2008 and has had eight top-10 finishes.
