County Hosts Shoot the Sound 3 on 3 Hockey Event

RYE, N.Y. – The Westchester County Department of Parks & Recreation hosts its second annual Shoot the Sound 3 on 3 Adult Hockey Tournament tomorrow at Playland Ice Casino.

The double-elimination tournament, which will include eight local adult hockey trios in an 18-and-over age group division, will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the Studio Rink.

“We started out last year with just four teams,” County Recreation Supervisor Ike Kuzio said. “I’m a hockey player myself, so I know players will love this event.”

Running time for games is 10 minutes and awards will be given to first- and second-place teams.

Team Rick, an Irvington entry, won the event last year.

Shoot the Sound is sponsored by Westchester County Parks. Refreshments are sponsored by Costa Foods.
