WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. High school basketball fans will enjoy a holiday basketball treat beginning Monday when 24 of the areas best boys and girls high school teams take over the Wesrchester County Center for the 13th annual Westchester County Slam Dunk Tournament.
Slam Dunk, which runs through Thursday, will featuring some of the most exciting play of the high school basketball season, which began earlier this month.
Archbishop Stepinac of White Plains defeated Horace Greeley 61-42 to win the boys championship game last year. In the girls bracket, Peekskill defeated Ossining 70-66 in the finals. Neither champion is returning, so the tournament will crown two new Slam Dunk title winners.
The action begins at noon each day. A complete bracket of games is available at www.countycenter.biz.
Admission is $5 per day. Tickets can be purchased at the County Center box office Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster.com.
Parking at the County Center is $5.
