Armonk's Decker Shines at New Hampshire

GREENWICH, Conn. -- University of New Hampshire quarterback Kevin Decker, a former Brunswick star from Armonk, N.Y., completed 21-of-28 passes for the University of New Hampshire last week in a 55-28 loss to Toledo in the Wildcats' season-opener.

New Hampshire, ranked No.10 in the nation in the Football Championship Subdivision, trailed 17-0 after one quarter as Toledo scored three touchdowns in a span of 2:58. Decker tried to rally the Wildcats, throwing for 162 yards. He also threw an interception.

Decker played in 13 games last season, primarily as a backup quarterback. He threw for five touchdowns and one interception, and had 289 yards passing in a game against Bethune-Cookman. He led Brunswick to a 34-1 record and three New England Class C titles during a brilliant high school career.
