This year's honorees are Chris Carnicelli, Class of '93 and Peter Goodman, Class of '86. Carnicelli is the U.S. representative and North America regional manager for Assicurazioni Generali -- also known as Generali. He is also the Chairman of Europ Assistance USA and Regional Manager for North America and Member of the Executive Committee of the Europ Assistance Group.
Goodman is a principal in McKool Smith’s New York office. He has represented clients in complex corporate/bankruptcy restructuring and litigation for 30 years. Goodman as published various articles on bankruptcy law and is a co-author of the American Bankruptcy Institutes Pension Manual.
During the Leadership Dinner, the Dean also awards the Richard Ottinger Faculty Achievement Award. The Ottinger Award is given annually by the Pace Law School faculty to recognize a full time professor’s outstanding service to the Law School, the legal profession, or both. The award is based on the faculty member’s outstanding service during the previous academic year.
The Law School inaugurated its Leadership Award in 1995. The purpose of this accolade is to honor individuals or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the legal community. The annual dinner provides the setting for the presentation of the Leadership Awards. Through sponsorships and a journal produced especially for the event, funds are raised that help to underwrite the Law School’s outstanding academic programs, faculty and students.
The 21st Annual Leadership Awards Dinner will be held on Thursday, March 3 at Westchester Country Club in Rye. Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner will follow at 7 p.m.
