NEW YORK -- Following their college graduation, the first thing on most students mind is finding a job. For Pace University graduates-to-be Sarah Figueroa and Taylor Clayton, rather than look for jobs in traditional fields, they decided to start their own business.

Members of Pace's Class of 2016, the duo -- who met on campus -- has created a start up company centered on the mobile app Lenzjam. Figueroa and Clayton say their project has attracted investors and is ready to launch later this summer. According to Lenzjam's website, the app aims to be an interactive social platform that allows users to discover and personalize image and music by geotagging.

Another one of the students' ventures, Off Campus Guru, has already launched and has been able generated positive cash flow after since its inception in March of this year. Their website seeks to find a solution to the complex question of student housing for universities in New York City. Users are able to search listings to find the best studio or apartment that matches their unique needs.

"Pace University has opened many doors for the two of us," said Figureoa. "Attending college in New York City, has been a whirlwind from starting and selling businesses, to making innumerable connections. The city has exposed us to limitless opportunities. However, we are ready to embark on the next journey of our lives."
